Dec 25, 2006: It was a nice drive from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. The road cut through the vast plains of Nevada and the hilly terrain of Arizona. The drive was about 5 hours . By the time we reached Grand Canyon the sun was half way into the sky. A little car trouble ensured that we didn't move much from the South Rim of the park. It took almost an hour to get the car up and running. We watched the colors of the Grand Canyon in the setting sun. It was amazingly changing all the time. Next day we went to see the raising sun. Then a drive back through the Hoover Dam which was busy that day. And yaa I missed my return flight to San Francisco because of the traffic at Hoover Dam.
